The owners are welcoming and personable, making sure all their guests have the best visit possible. Surrounded by cobblestone streets and hosting only three rooms at a time, there is no more peaceful place to stay.

Guests at the accommodation can enjoy an outdoor pool and sun terrace with incredible mountain views. There’s also a bar, garden and table tennis on-site. My favourite part of the stay was the breakfast: fresh, local produce including eggs, cheeses, and all the French bread and pastries you could ask for. With its old-world charm, Au pied des Baous has everything you need for an under the radar and enchanting stay in the Mediterranean.

Tucked away in the Côte d’Azur region, Au Pied des Baous offers what so many places promise but don’t deliver: to be a home away from home.
